David R. Golden Insurance Agency is honored to have been selected for membership in Safeco’s H.K. Dent Society. Fewer than 10 percent of Safeco’s agents nationally qualify for the distinction each year.

“It is the purpose of this society to recognize and reward excellence among independent agents,” wrote Mike Hughes, Safeco Insurance president. ”Excellence as defined and demonstrated by superior underwriting (profit), effective business acumen (growth) and steadfast loyalty (size and tenure).”

Hawthorne K. Dent founded the General Insurance Company of America in 1923. Safeco was created from General in 1953 to provide more aggressive solutions for independent agents in an increasingly competitive insurance market. Today, nearly 90 years later, Safeco is focused 100 percent on independent agents like David R. Golden Insurance.
